[TESOL or TEFL certificate guidelines]

Effective as of July 21st 2009,  SMOE has now made it mandatory for  teachers with no experience (level H hires) to obtain a TESOL/TEFL certificate or at least submit a letter from your TESOL or TEFL program to verify in written letter that you are enrolled in the program. Online programs are also accepted.  Entry level H candidates who do not have any experience will be upgraded to level G with the certification of atleast 100 hours.

SMOE will NOT proceed an interview process without at least an ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION LETTER even if you have submitted in your application form. This is effective as of November 4, 2009. So if you have not yet enrolled in a program, please do so NOW and submit your verification letter to admin@koreaconnections.net  asap in order to receive your interview schedule.

Certifications are not necessary for private schools/institutions.

Verification letters must contain the following :

- must be on letterhead format

- name of organization, contact information

- how many hours you will attend (it must be more than a 100 hour program)

- your start date

- expected finalization date

Have the letter send directly to admin@koreaconnections.net  or to yourself and forward to us.
